  • The Winnebago Access Delivers Family-Friendly Features at an Affordable Price

When the Winnebago Access first burst onto the scene back in 2023, it caused quite a stir across the RV industry. Exhibiting the company’s trademark build quality and boasting more amenities than any other model in its class, the exciting new travel trailer garnered plenty of attention. And with a starting price under $30,000, it is easy to see why it quickly grew in popularity.

So how does Winnebago improve on this winning formula? By introducing two new floorplans that make the trailer even more appealing and approachable to a wider audience. The latest additions to the Access line-up are smaller, lighter, and easier to tow, without sacrificing everything that makes this towable so special in the first place. The Access 18DBH and 18RK both launched in December. These two floorplans measure 22’ 6” in length, making them a little more compact compared to previous Access models, which measured 29’ to 33’ 2” depending on the configuration. The new towables come with an attractive new price point as well, which is sure to appeal to new and veteran RVers alike.

Both new floorplans are designed to make RV camping as fun, comfortable, and accessible as possible. For example, the 18DBH comes with a residential queen-size bed plus two large 48” x 68” bunk beds, while a 38” x 68” dinette is the perfect place to gather for meals, playing games, and socializing. Add in a surprisingly spacious bathroom—complete with a 30” x 36” shower— and you have the perfect option for a growing family. The 18RK offers similar amenities as the 18DBH, including a queen-size bed, a cozy dinette, and an efficient galley kitchen. But this model swaps out the bunk beds in favor of a large flip-out sofa with room to sleep two. The family-friendly travel trailer will also appeal to couples looking for a towable that is lightweight, homey, and affordable.

The Access 18RK and 18DBH join Winnebago’s five existing models that include the 25ML, 26BH, 28FK, 30BH, and 26RL. Each of those travel trailers has its own unique layout, features, and options with room for 5-7 people depending on the floorplan. Pricing for the original models starts at $29,600, but the two new additions are even more budget-friendly with an MSRP of around $23,000.To learn more about the Winnebago Access, and all of its intriguing floorplans, visit winnebago.com.The post The Winnebago Access Delivers Family-Friendly Features at an Affordable Price appeared first on RV.com.

Built with couples and full-timers in mind, the 38FBRK features a primary bedroom that includes a king-size bed, privacy doors, and a massive walk-in closet complete with washer/dryer prep. An en-suite private bathroom features a residential-style shower, porcelain toilet, and a spacious vanity, adding a further touch of elegance to an already great space. The 38FBRK’s living room area is just as impressive as the bedroom and is a relaxing place for entertaining guests. This Pinnacle floorplan in particular, is famous for its proprietary radius sectional sofa, with built-in reclining theater seating. An electric fireplace creates both warmth and ambiance, while a roll-top dinette with four standing chairs serves as a gathering place for meals and socializing. • Camp Keepers: Warthen RV Park in Warthen, Georgia

Josh Gordy is the Camp Keeper at Warthen RV Park in Warthen, Georgia. Here’s the story of how he started that gig after a career in the NFL.“Back in 2011, the land that the park sits on came up for sale and it was right in the area where I grew up. I was playing in the NFL at the time. I wanted the opportunity to buy some land and hold onto it for the family—and then ambition started to roll in our stomachs. We started thinking: What can we do to capitalize on it? My mom and my late uncle suggested an RV park, and we broke ground in 2012.
    Warthen RV Park

Photo Credit: Josh Gordy/Warthen RV Park

“I didn’t know anything about RVing. But I spent a lot of my life outside, and we eventually became more connected with the recreational side of the industry. Every little thing we do in the park ties back to our ability to help people recharge. We’re getting a fishing pond built and a walking trail constructed— peaceful activities. That was a big ‘why’ to the mission. I just love adding value to the place and giving people a place to recharge and clear their mind, because you gotta unplug a little bit. We host events for people to come together and get to know each other, too.“Being African American, it’s no secret there are not a lot of owners of businesses like this in the country. So, naturally, a big portion of our clients are African American. We want to add value to our community by providing a great product. We attract a diverse community, and that’s what makes us good. We say people come to us as strangers but they leave as family.”Gordy played with five NFL teams, winning a Super Bowl with Green Bay in 2010-11.

  • The 2025 Keystone Arcadia Series

Just in time for Spring daydreaming! As the days get colder and grayer, and the sun sets before we even get home, we’ve brought on the spring! With the Keystone Arcadia line, you can start your Spring planning now!The Arcadia Fifth Wheel line is our newest Keystone, including the Super Lite and the ultra-affordable Arcadia Select.Arcadia’s philosophy is simple: no matter the floorplan, the fundamentals remain the same. These stunning Super Lite models offer Arcadia’s signature, but in lighter, easy-to-tow lengths. It’s a new approach for RVs in this weight class, and we think you’re going to love it.
Let’s start with their Keystone weathertight build. Keystone tests *ALL* its RVs in their cold chamber, certifying them down to 0° F. So you can start the RVing season early, and end it late. It’s all part of their Peak Weather Protection Package, which includes:·  35,000 BTUs high output furnace·  Fully enclosed, insulated holding tanks with 12V heat pads·  Reflective insulation in floor, roof, and front wall·  Electric fireplace with 5,100BTU of heat·  BladePure™ High Performance ducting with Merv-9 filter·  Heated Pass-Thru storage·  Nautilus Water Management SystemThen there’s the floor — the high-performance, water resistant floor.Stronger, lighter and more resilient than traditional wood laminated flooring, Keystone’s exclusive HyperDeck™ is an excellent example of how the Keystone Innovation Lab challenges industry norms to build better RV’s. By its nature, traditional wood floor construction presents the possibility of taking on water, key for RV owners who need to remain vigilant to keep moisture out of their coaches. Hyperdeck replaces wood with 100% inorganic materials, designed to resist water and water damage.
The presence of a Girard Tankless Water Heater is a luxury for some, but it’s the sort that quickly turns into a necessity. The advantages include:
    • 42,000 BTUs provides the optimum performance for an RV’s plumbing
    • No special LP gas lines or special plumbing required
    • Quiet, brushless motor
    • 12V power operates at less than 3 AMPs
    • Freeze protection enables reliable winter use
    • Designed specifically for recreational vehicles
    • Compact design – fits in any tank water heater cut-out opening
Add in the impossibly versatile, exceptionally designed, SolarFlex  Solar Energy and you have a  system that’s shattering customers’ expectations of factory solar power. SolarFlex™ eliminates the guesswork, delivering affordable, high-quality RV solar energy systems.
The Avalanche Edition of the Keystone Alpine has the same bones as its sibling: the same Wide Body construction and spacious interior, the same SolarFlex™ system, the same Polar Pack for four-season living, and the same Residential kitchen and Theater-system living room with the plushest of seating and a 4K 65” television. Even the bathrooms in all Alpines are Residential and equipped with tankless hot water heaters!
As for the Interior, take a look for yourself. Whether it’s the Arcadia Super-Lite or the Arcadia Select, you’ll find beautiful, well-built interiors with plenty of high-end amenities. Easy to tow, easy to enjoy, this might be the perfect Fifth Wheel for you. Come in and take a look for yourself. Then start dreaming of Spring.

  • The 2025 CARB Act: What You Need to Know

There’s no easy way to approach this, so let’s dive in together.Starting on January 1st of 2025, Washington State may halt sales of new gas or diesel Motor Homes due to legislation called the CARB Act.What is the CARB Act? The California Air Resources Board has enacted the Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) Regulation. The goal of this is to accelerate the production of zero-emission trucks: a laudable goal. However, given the current availability of zero-emission RV-suitable chassis, this could cause serious disruption in the RV industry. But, you think, that’s California. This is Washington.Washington State (as well as Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Oregon) have chosen to follow the standards set by California starting in 2025. Rules in Vermont will take effect in the 2026 model year, and those in Colorado, Maryland, New Mexico, and Rhode Island in the 2027 model year.As a result, RV Manufacturers will be restricted from selling gas or diesel vehicles over 8,500 pounds unless they first meet the Zero-Emissions sales targets. This was not a decision that we at Poulsbo RV had much time to anticipate.“It’s caught us all off guard,” Will Rogers, General Manager at Poulsbo RV in Everett, said in a KIRO news radio interview. “I don’t know of any manufacturers with an EV program yet,” Rogers noted, adding that all brands on his lot will be affected by these new rules.“It’s disheartening,” he continued, “We thought there was a possibility that RVs wouldn’t be affected, but it turns out they are. We’re trying to keep 2024 chassis available for next year so people can still buy new diesel vehicles,” he said. The restrictions on new 2025 sales apply only to RVs with engines manufactured in 2025. But the RV Industry Association reported that some manufacturers are already withdrawing from CARB-regulated markets.Beyond what is written here, there are still many details which are still unclear.

    What We Know

To keep this simple, this is what we know for 2025:
    1. Consumers will not be able to register Diesel Class Aa and most Super C Diesel Motor Homes in Washington state if the chassis itself was built after January 1st, 2025
    2. Manufacturers will not sell dealers in Washington any Diesel Motor Homes that have a chassis built after January 1st, 2025
    3. An important note is that this applies to the RV’s Chassis. The motor home could be built after January 1st, 2025, but it must have a 2024 chassis
    4. Freightliner will not supply any motor home manufacturer with chassis that will be certified to be registered by a consumer into these ACT compliant states as of January 1st, 2025
    Some good news:
    • All current Poulsbo RV inventory is compliant
    • Mercedes/Sprinter chassis motor homes are compliant
    • Ford gas motorhomes are compliant because they have enough EV sales to offsets
    • We are told Super C’s built on the Ford F550 chassis will be compliant due to offsets
The RV industry has been fighting to get an exemption for motor homes, but was unsuccessful. This is the unfortunate reality. But the situation is still fluid. We will do our best to provide you with the most up to date information we have going forward.Plus, we’ll do our best to continue to inform the Poulsbo RV Family about developments in this matter, as well as provide you the Best Motor Homes and Towables that we can.Travel Safely. The post The 2025 CARB Act: What You Need to Know appeared first on Poulsbo RV.

  • Late Fall Means RV Winterizing Time

As the temperatures begin to dip, we RV owners need to get our rigs all snug for winter. Whether you tow a trailer or drive a motorized RV, Winterization is a vital component of regular RV upkeep and helps you protect your investment while it’s not in use.

    Step One: Clean & Repair

Start on the inside: give your interior a thorough cleaning and remove all food. Rodents spend the winter sniffing out any trace of food. If they are able to get into your RV, they will nest and do interior damage. And that is an unpleasant surprise come spring. The Pacific Northwest is also in the hantavirus zone; for safety, be sure all food is gone. Then there is your RV’s outside. The camping season puts on a layer of dirt, dried on insect hits and streaky black road grime. Wash and wax your RV, or–Let Poulsbo RV’s service department do a full detailing of your RV exterior. Plus we can inspect your roof, window and door seals, and the underbelly of your RV for any cracks or holes that need to be resealed or repaired. This is the best time of year to make sure your RV is sound and ready to go on the first day of next year’s camping season!

    Step Two: Batteries & Propane

Depending on whether you’re storing your RV in a heated garage or outdoors under cover, you will probably want to remove your propane tanks and your RV battery for safe storage. Keep your batteries in a warm location where you can charge them in the off-season so you’ll be ready for that first camping trip.If you have one, you will need to run the generator at least once a month under a load. Some house batteries will also need to have their water level checked. Now is a good time to inspect them.

    Step Three: Winterize the Plumbing

IProtecting your RV’s plumbing system from frigid weather is the primary focus of Winterizing, it includes tasks like bypassing your water heater, opening low-point drains on your RV’s exterior, draining your tanks and using a potable-water-safe antifreeze. If this is going to be a DIY project (as per your owner’s manual directions), making sure you use an RV/Marine anti-freeze is crucial. At Poulsbo RV, our service techs Winterize RV plumbing as part of our Seasonal Maintenance packages. If trying this on your own seems daunting, we can do it for you.

    Step Four: Dry & Covered

Keeping your RV dry is crucial to it maintenance over the winter. If your RV is hooked up to power, electric dehumidifyers are a great solution. If your RV is NOT hooked up to power, you can use one of several products to pull excess moisture out from the air. You can choose from products like Absorbag, DampRid, H2O Out, to name a few. These products can be placed in a home over to recharge their water absorption properties.Others, like the Dry-Z-Air and dehumidifier will need to have their water catches emptied at least every two weeks.Vent covers are also a good way to help control the moisture. Maxxair and Camco vent covers allow you to leave your vents open. This allows any moisture to escape, while keeping the weather out. Finally, once everything is done, you will need to cover your RV with a UV-protected and mildew-resistant RV cover, especially if you’re storing your RV outside. Consider purchasing separate RV tire covers if your cover does not protect your tires. All these products and more are available from any of our Poulsbo RV Parts Departments. Plus, our staff is trained and experienced at knowing what RV owners need. They’re happy to share their knowledge and recommend the perfect products for your individual needs.
