  • Thor Officially Unveils Range-Extended Electric Entegra Coach Embark Class A Model

The Entegra Coach Embark Class A motorhome has been an open secret since it was first unveiled to dealers back in July. We even wrote an article about it several weeks ago, sharing what little information we knew at the time. Now, as part of the big Elkhart Extravaganza/Open House this week, Entegra’s parent company, Thor, has revealed the rig to the public, filling in plenty of unknown details as a result.

One of the first things that stands out in the announcement is that the Embark is now officially branded as an Entegra Coach model. Back when it first debuted, it was labeled as a Jayco RV, which is technically still correct. Recently, Entegra moved under the Jayco umbrella in order to take advantage of the brand’s size and scale to improve design and manufacturing.

    Entegra Coach Embark

We already knew that the Embark rides on an all-new electric platform co-developed by Thor and Harbinger Motors. But in a press release announcing the vehicle, we gained some more technical specs. For instance, we now know that the coach has a 140kWh battery pack, and an 800V electrical architecture that gives it rapid charging capabilities at public DC fast charging stations. The power cells can also be charged at a campsite power pole or at home, where it also has the ability to serve as a back-up power supply during a blackout.

Thor also shared a few more details on the rig’s gas-powered range extender. That comes in the form of a generator, which can recharge the onboard battery packs, as well. This gives the RV a measure of flexibility not found in most electric vehicles. Because the range extender can be gassed up at a traditional gas station, owners never have to worry about finding themselves stranded without any power, completely eliminating range anxiety.

    Entegra Coach Embark

It was previously reported that the Embark’s range would be roughly 105 miles on electricity alone or as much as 500 miles using the range extender. The official specs now indicate the actual maximum range is closer to 450 miles, which is still impressive from a Class A coach. The difference in range could be due to Thor being somewhat conservative in its numbers. But it’s more likely that the 500 mile range is for the standard chassis, but the addition of all of the RV components has brought the number down some.

With the official announcement, we’ve also received a full floor plan of the new Embark. The layout includes a king-size bed in the rear, a midship bathroom with a toilet, shower, sink, and wardrobe, and a kitchenette that includes a mini-fridge, sink, and induction cooktop. Closer to the front, owners will find a dinette with a space-saving folding table, a sofa bench with hidden storage, and a 40” TV on a televator. Full specs and dimensions have yet to be revealed.

According to Thor, the new Entegra Coach Embark will go into production soon, with the first models rolling off the assembly line in 2026. Those initial vehicles will not be for sale, however, but will instead be available to rent. The company will then use customer feedback to further refine and hone the RV before it becomes commercially available to the public. No pricing or availability beyond that has been announced as of yet.

  • Jayco Embark E-RV First Look

Last year, Thor—working in partnership with Harbinger Motors—gave us a glimpse of one possible future for RVs when it unveiled its prototype electric Test Vehicle. That Class A model used an electric motor and large battery bank, combined with a gas-powered range extender, to give the RV a 500+ mile range. When it revealed the rig, Thor indicated that it hoped to have a production model ready for sale this year, which seemed ambitious at the time. Fast forward to today, and the arrival of such a vehicle is inching closer, as the all-new Jayco Embark makes its debut.

The Jayco Embark was on display recently at the brand’s annual Dealer Homecoming event, and while most of the details have yet to be confirmed by the RV manufacturer, we’re starting to get some insights into what to expect. The video above takes us inside the motor coach, giving us a glimpse of what the interior looks like. And while much of the clip is more of a tease of what’s to come, it still offers some enticing details. For instance, the Class A model comes with a queen-size bed, a 40″ smart TV on a televator, an induction cooktop, a deep stainless steel sink, and a hidden microwave and refrigerator/freezer.

    Thor hybrid Test Vehicle

All of that is intriguing, of course, but our colleagues over at RV Business have more details and specs to share. They were also on hand at the event and have several photos of what the Embark looks like from the outside. More importantly, they have performance numbers to share, too, including confirmation that the vehicle has a 110-mile range on electric power alone. But thanks to a 45kWh gas-powered generator that feeds power into the batteries, that range is extended to 475-500 miles. A 50-gallon tank supplies fuel to the generator, which can be filled up at any gas station at any time. The article also points out that no solar panels are incorporated into the design to further feed power to the battery packs, although the can be recharged using shore power or an EV charging stations. The rig uses the NACS charging port.

Other specs of interest include the length of the vehicle, which stretches 30′ 9″ end-to-end and is slightly more than 11′ tall. Cooling comes courtesy of dual Coleman Mach 15,000 BTU A/C units, and a Carefree awning extends the living space outdoors. Unlike most Class A models, the Embark comes with pass-through rear storage, which is made possible due to a lack of a diesel engine. Interestingly, RV Business says the bedroom includes an elevated king-bed, which differs from what the video above indicates. A collapsible dinette opens up space in the living area, while a JBL sound system provides audio. Finally, a Dometic furnace and a Suburban tankless water heater round out the features.

We expect the new Jayco Embark will be on display at the upcoming Hershey RV SuperShow in September, and again at the Elkhart Open House Extravaganza a few weeks later. We should have more details soon, including a potential window for the RV’s arrival on dealer lots and an MSRP, which RV Business says is rumored to be around $460,000.

As of now, Jayco doesn’t have any information regarding this new RV on its website, but keep an eye on jayco.com for future updates.

  • 2026 Thor Motors RV Upgrades Revealed

It’s that time of the summer again when RV manufacturers start announcing all of the important updates and upgrades coming to their most important models next year. Last week, we saw SylvanSport reveal its plans for 2026, and now Thor has gotten in on the fun. Over the course of the past few days, there has been a steady stream of press releases announcing Thor Motors RV upgrades for the coming year. And as usual, there are some great new additions for buyers.

Let’s dive in and see what’s in store.

    Class A Gas Models

Thor is well known for making outstanding Class A motorhomes, and in 2026 it’s bringing some exciting new additions to the lineup. Those include the all-new GG35 floor plan for the Indigo and Luminate models. Highlights of this new option include a spacious interior with a king-size bed, a convertible sofa bed, and the company’s popular and versatile Dream Dinette. A large closet comes prepped for a stackable washer and dryer, bringing plenty of comfort and convenience to this 37′ coach.

Not to be outdone, the 2026 Axis and Vegas coaches get a nice upgrade in the form of adjustable side tables that attach to the armrests on the standard leatherette seating. This replaces the larger center table found on previous models, freeing up space without sacrificing functionality. Additionally, the new 28.1 floor plan comes with a bedroom that features a walk-around queen bed, theater seating, and the aforementioned Dream Dinette, which is a first for these rigs.

Finally, the 2026 Hurricane and Windsport models see updated exterior full-body paint options, and buyers can now select cabinets that come in an eye-catching two-tone color pattern. All floor plans also include larger, residential-style refrigerators.

    Thor Class B

    Class B Camper Vans

Thor Motors RV upgrades to the Class B camper van lineup start with the new 20U floor plan for the Sequence and Tellaro models. This layout includes a midship wet bath, a kitchen with a portable cooktop stove and a surprisingly large refrigerator, and rear couches that convert into a comfy bed. A removable table brings versatility to the dining space, while the cockpit captain’s chairs pivot to add extra seating space.

The Sequence and Tellaro, along with the Scope and Rize camper vans, also get an all-new Sport edition. These models deliver a somewhat stripped-down experience, giving campers all of the things they need, without a lot of extra frills. The goal is to offer buyers a well-built and equipped option at a more affordable price. Features include covered swiveling captain’s chairs, outdoor patio awning prep, blackout zipper window shades, slab-style upper cabinet doors, and pressed countertops with an under-mount sink and dry rack cover.

Meanwhile, the already well-equipped Sanctuary and Tranquility Class B campers gain more off-grid capabilities. Upgrades include off-road tires, a 30A solar charger, and a factory-installed Starlink exterior plug for improved satellite internet compatibility. These rigs also get a new Silver Grey exterior color option, along with a Wind Sand interior decor that brightens the space with a clean, modern design.

    Thor Class C

    Class C Models

Those shopping for a Class C coach will find some nice upgrades to the Thor catalog for 2026, too, including a major refresh of the Four Winds, Chateau, Quantum, and Echelon ESpec models. Those four coaches now come with a more residential and modern feel, with interiors that boast updated cabinet doors and drawers, and two-tone color schemes. Outside, these motorhomes also get enhanced partial paint and optional full-body paint options with bold new styling to stand out at the campground.

Additionally, the Four Winds and Chateau models get the new 28G floor plan, a 30′ rig with a roomy interior. Notable features include a walk-around queen-size bed, a split-shower design for added space, a jack-knife sofa, and a Dream Dinette. This new layout was specifically built for buyers looking for a coach with more interior space, without the potential hassles that come with a larger RV with slide-outs.

    Thor Class C

The 2026 Compass AWD and Gemini AWD models get more boondocking-friendly, thanks to the addition of an expansion solar port. This gives owners the option to quickly and easily add additional solar panels at the campsite, adding flexibility to their charging options.

Finally, the Tiburon and Delano Class C models also get the external solar port, along with a few other notable upgrades. Those include hydraulic leveling jacks, a rear ladder receiver, and an optional blind-spot monitoring system for added safety while driving.

That’s a wrap on the Thor Motors RV upgrades for 2026. Expect more news from the brand as we approach the Hershey RV Show in September.

  • Video: Explore Van Life in a 2026 Thor Eddie Bauer Transit 22ET Class B+

Do you like the idea of an easy-driving Class B camper van, but don’t want to compromise on space? Perhaps a Class B+ model would be more to your liking. What’s a Class B+ you ask? It’s a type of RV that straddles the line between a traditional Class B and a Class C coach, offering more room without sacrificing driveability. The new Thor Eddie Bauer Transit 22ET is a great example of this concept, and as you’ll see in the video above, it delivers some very compelling features.

Built on a Ford Transit chassis, the front of the 22ET looks a lot like a traditional camper van. That includes the cockpit, which is equipped with all of the standard features you would expect from the Transit, including a suite of safety features like lane departure warnings, pre-collision assist, and a built-in tire pressure monitoring system. But from the cab back, this RV looks much different than a regular Class B model. That’s because it has a more boxy living area that is much closer to a small Class C, giving it much extra interior space, including an 80″ ceiling height.

    Thor Eddie Bauer Transit 22ET

All of that extra space is put to good use here, creating a great combination of size, features, and performance. The 22ET’s single floor plan includes just about everything you could ask for, including a kitchen equipped with a microwave, a stowable single-burner induction cooktop, a large undermount stainless steel sink, and an energy-efficient 12V fridge. A dinette makes for a great place to gather for meals, playing games, or getting work done on the road. There’s even space for a reasonably sizeable bathroom, complete with shower, sink, and porcelain toilet.

In the back of the rig, you’ll find a queen-size bed on a power-lifted loft. This allows it to rise out of the way when not in use, but lower from the ceiling come bedtime. Underneath is a massive gear garage with room for a ton of toys, including bikes, paddleboards, and other outdoor equipment. An outdoor shower makes for a convenient way to clean up after a long day on the trail.

Other notable features include a 4,000W gas generator, a Winegard ConnecT 2.0 WiFi/4G/TV antenna, and a 400W solar power system connected to a 3000W inverter. The 22ET comes with a 15,000 BTU air conditioner and a hydronic furnace/water heater, making this a very capable extended-season camper. Thor even used the all-wheel drive version of the Ford Transit, making it easy to reach those remote campsites.

For a more in-depth look at the Thor Eddie Bauer Transit 22ET Class B+ camper, hit play on the video above. And for a complete rundown of the rig’s specs and features, visit Thor’s website.

Nearby, a spacious dinette pulls triple duty, making a great gathering point for meals or socializing, but also serving as a workspace for when you absolutely have to be productive on the road. LED lighting sips power while providing plenty of illumination, while residential vinyl flooring resists wear and tear and makes clean up a breeze. The B30 model is even equipped with an outdoor kitchen and TV, all under an 18′ powered awning.

Of course, reading off a list of specs and features isn’t quite as much fun as seeing them for yourself. If you thought a Class C RV needed to be big, expensive, and ponderous to drive, think again. The Thor Freedom Elite 19HE is here to dispel those myths, delivering a feature-packed and surprisingly roomy interior in a vehicle that is just 20′ 5″ in length. Better still, it is affordably priced at $110,334. Yep, you read that right, a well-equipped, easy-to-drive motorhome that won’t break the bank.

So what exactly do you get for that price? For starters, the RV rides on a Ford E-Series chassis, ensuring comfort, stability, and reliability on the road. Inside, you’ll find an open living space with an 80″ ceiling, residential vinyl flooring, and LED lighting throughout. A large, U-shaped dinette, which converts to a bed, is located in the rear, while a queen-size mattress occupies the cabover space. A wet bath, a built-in wardrobe, and a spacious kitchen, complete with a two-burner stove, convection microwave, a 12V refrigerator/freezer, and an unexpected amount of counter space, round out the list of features.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about the Freedom Elite 19HE is that it is about the size of a Class B van, but offers so much more open space. The vehicle has a nice amount of storage inside and out, and the fact that most people can stand up inside is a big plus. The rig comes with a 19,000 BTU furnace and roof-mounted A/C unit, both of which should provide excellent climate control for an RV of this size. A tankless water heater provides on-demand hot water to a shower that is larger than you’ll find in most camper vans.

All of that sounds great on paper, but seeing is truly believing. Check out the video above for a complete walk-through of this Class C model. What you’ll see is an RV that delivers a ton of value in a package that won’t be intimidating to drive, but is still roomy and comfortable.
