  • A Video Buyer’s Guide for Travel Trailers with Rear Kitchens

We’ve seen a lot of interesting trends coming to the RV space over the next few months, including some floor plans designed to make the most of the interior space. One of those trends happens to be an increasing number of travel trailers with rear kitchens, which come with a number of nice benefits. For instance, by moving the kitchen to the back of the rig, you’ll often get more counter and storage space, not to mention a large rear window for plenty of natural light. And since the kitchen plays a central role in our enjoyment at the campsite, having an open and productive space is a big bonus.

There are an increasing number of travel trailers with rear kitchens available these days, giving buyers plenty of options to choose from. But the video above shares some of the best options currently available in a small form factor. These lightweight and compact towables make good use of the available floor space, with some surprisingly roomy galleys that make meal prep enjoyable and easy. In other words, they’re exactly what aspiring camp chefs are looking for.

The towables in the video include the Keystone Coleman Light 21RX, the Keystone Coleman Legacy 2115RK, the Forest River Campsite Reserve 23BM, the Keystone Springdale Villa 281RK, and the Forest River Salem 27RK. As you’ll see, each brings something a little different to the table, giving would-be buyers several options to choose from, at price points that are affordable and approachable.

Of course, these aren’t the only travel trailers with rear kitchens available. A little research and shopping on the major RV manufacturers’ websites will reveal plenty more. We’re especially partial to the Winnebago Thrive 24RKS and the Jayco Jay Feather 23RK, but there are plenty of others to choose from as well. As always, finding the right rig to meet your needs is the most important factor when purchasing an RV. That said, the video above is certainly a good place to start. Hit play to see what’s possible with these rear-kitchen floor plans.

  • Video: Go Inside the All-New 2026 East to West College Avenue Class C Coach

In our Friday RV news round-up last week, we mentioned that Forest River had announced the all-new East to West College Avenue motorhome. Now, just a few days later, we get to take a closer look at this exciting Class C model courtesy of the video above. As you’ll see, the rig packs a lot of features and amenities into a reasonably sized package, making it an approachable option that is easy and fun to drive, without skimping on comfort and styling.

    East to West College Avenue

Photo Credit: Forest River/East to West RV

Currently available in six unique floor plans, the East to West College Avenue—named after the street in Goshen, IN, where Forest River was first founded—has something to offer just about everyone. Sizes range from as small as 23′ 10″ all the way up to 32′ 6″, with room to sleep four to six people depending on the layout. For simplicity’s sake, most models slide-free, although two floor plans (the 2201S and 2951OK) do come with slides for those looking for a bit of extra space. All versions ride on the Ford E-450 chassis, which includes a 7.3L V8 engine with a six-speed transmission, giving it 325 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.

The floor plan shown in the video above is the College Avenue 2201S. This three-season coach does have one slide-out in the bedroom, which makes more space for the queen-size bed. A second sleep space is found in the cabover area, and the dinette also converts to a bed for more guests. A surprisingly roomy bathroom is located behind a sliding door, with a separate sink found outside the lavatory itself for easy access. The kitchen includes a round stainless steel sink with a high-rise faucet, a three-burner cooktop, a convection microwave oven, and a 12V refrigerator. Solid surface countertops, Azdel composite wall construction, a tankless water heater, heated holding tanks, and a quiet 4500W generator (larger models get a 6000W model) all come standard.

  • How an Airstream Interstate 19GT Serves as Base Camp for a Pro Pickleball Player

It’s no secret that pickleball has emerged as one of the fastest-growing sports in the US over the past few years. So much so that a professional league has even sprung up, with dozens of tournaments taking place all over the country. One of the premiere players in that league is Tyson McGuffinhttps://tysonmcguffin.com, who is currently ranked 15th overall. One of Tyson’s secret weapons for his success is his Airstream Interstate 19GT camper van, which serves as not just his home while on the road, but also a mobile recovery station and a refuge from his busy life.

    Airstream Interstate 19GT

The video above not only introduces us to Tyson, but gives us a glimpse of his life both on and off the court. As a fierce competitor, he has quickly become a fan favorite, making him a top draw on the Professional Pickleball Association circuit. He’s also one of the sport’s most active ambassadors, hosting clinics, filming instructional videos, and promoting the game wherever he goes. McGuffin accomplishes all of that while also managing to spend time with his wife Megan and their four children. In other words, he has a very busy life, which can sometimes make it challenging to find time to relax and recovery.

Tyson’s Airstream Interstate 19GT is often the place where he can do both. As you’ll see in the video, the van is where he finds respite between matches, while spending time with his young family. There, he can relax on the coach’s rear sofa, which converts into a full bed when needed. The van’s mini-fridge is always stocked with Tyson’s recovery drinks, fresh fruits, and other foods, while the onboard wet bath is perfect for taking a post-game shower before meeting fans.

Riding on a Mercedes Sprinter 2500 chassis, the Interstate 19GT features a 2.0L four-cylinder high-output diesel engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. This gives the rig 208 horsepower and an estimated highway gas mileage of around 18 MPG. Best of all, it makes this coach extremely easy to drive and park, whether that’s at a campground, residential driveway, or the parking lot of a professional pickleball tournament.

Clearly, the Airstream Interstate 19GT is a great match for Tyson, both professionally and personally. Having his own personal refuge to retreat to after a match gives him a competitive advantage over other players. If it can do that for him, chances are it’ll have plenty to offer the rest of us, too.

  • Video: Is the 2026 Jayco Granite Ridge the Perfect Class C Coach?

Camper vans have been all the rage over the past few years, but many Class B owners are now looking to upgrade to something a little larger, yet just as easy to drive. That’s where the new 2026 Jayco Granite Ridge Class C coach enters the picture. This model is larger than a van, but not ponderously so. The 22T floor plan, featured in the video above, also happens to ride on a Ford Transit 350HD AWD chassis, giving it some serious off-road capabilities. And as you’ll see in the YouTube clip, the interior is comfortable, well-appointed, and roomy.

    Jayco Granite Ridge

The Jayco Granite Ridge was one of the more exciting motor coaches we saw at the recent Hershey RV Show. Outside, the rig is impressively burly, sporting all-terrain tires, a roof rack, and a collapsible ladder. Starlink internet also comes standard, as does a heated gear garage with Molle panels, and removable wireless speakers courtesy of JBL. It even ships with a Firefly multiplexing system, allowing owners to control lights, climate, power, and more from a touch screen or an app on their smartphone. In other words, this Class C model has both brains and brawn.

Inside, the 22T floor plan features two twin beds that convert into a king, a sizable wet bath, and a versatile dinette that pulls double duty as a lounge when the table is removed. The kitchen comes equipped with a mini-fridge, a single-bowl stainless steel sink, an induction microwave, and a portable induction cooktop that can be stashed away to conserve space. Heating and cooling come courtesy of a 17,000 BTU hydronic heating system and a 13,500 BTU air conditioner. A gas generator and 360W solar panels provide power while living off-grid.

Currently, the Granite Ridge is available in two distinct floor plans. In addition to the 22T model detailed in the video, Jayco also offers the 23S, which swaps the Ford chassis in favor of a Mercedes 3500 AWD version. That model also replaces the L-shaped dinette with bench seating and two removable tables, and has larger wardrobes and a bigger outdoor awning.

The Jayco Granite Ridge promises to be one of the more exciting Class C models to hit the road in 2026. Check out the video to get a sense of everything it brings to the table. And to learn more—including full specs and features—visit the Jayco website.

  • Video: The Forest River Salem Grand Villa 42ZEN is a Lux Home on Wheels

If you’ve been curious as to why destination trailers have become such a hot category in the RV industry in recent years, you only need to check out the video above. It features the new Forest River Salem Grand Villa 42ZEN, a two-story, three-bedroom model that defies expectations. There is so much packed into this amazing floor plan that you’ll have to see it to believe it.

Highlights of this beautiful trailer include two full bathrooms, both with walk-in showers and linen closets. The living room comes with a massive sectional sofa for lounging in front of the fireplace and a large 4K smart TV mounted on a television. Meanwhile, the primary bedroom includes a versatile-tilt king-size bed, while the second and third bedrooms—both lofted—come with queen mattresses. The island kitchen is equally impressive, with residential-style appliances and bar-stool seating with room for four.

As you would expect from a destination trailer, the Salem Grand Villa 42ZEN is large and heavy. The rig measures 44′ 11″ end-to-end, and has a GVWR of 16,804 lbs. It comfortably sleeps up to eight people, and is built for three-season camping, meaning you wouldn’t want to spend much time in it during the winter. Obviously, a trailer of this size requires a hefty vehicle to move it around, although this one is a bit more towable than some other park models, although its tall profile could present some challenges. Still, once it’s in place, the 42ZEN would make a very comfortable place to rest and relax, with nice touches like washer/dryer prep and ample storage allowing for extended stays.

  • Jayco Embark E-RV First Look

Last year, Thor—working in partnership with Harbinger Motors—gave us a glimpse of one possible future for RVs when it unveiled its prototype electric Test Vehicle. That Class A model used an electric motor and large battery bank, combined with a gas-powered range extender, to give the RV a 500+ mile range. When it revealed the rig, Thor indicated that it hoped to have a production model ready for sale this year, which seemed ambitious at the time. Fast forward to today, and the arrival of such a vehicle is inching closer, as the all-new Jayco Embark makes its debut.

The Jayco Embark was on display recently at the brand’s annual Dealer Homecoming event, and while most of the details have yet to be confirmed by the RV manufacturer, we’re starting to get some insights into what to expect. The video above takes us inside the motor coach, giving us a glimpse of what the interior looks like. And while much of the clip is more of a tease of what’s to come, it still offers some enticing details. For instance, the Class A model comes with a queen-size bed, a 40″ smart TV on a televator, an induction cooktop, a deep stainless steel sink, and a hidden microwave and refrigerator/freezer.

    Thor hybrid Test Vehicle

All of that is intriguing, of course, but our colleagues over at RV Business have more details and specs to share. They were also on hand at the event and have several photos of what the Embark looks like from the outside. More importantly, they have performance numbers to share, too, including confirmation that the vehicle has a 110-mile range on electric power alone. But thanks to a 45kWh gas-powered generator that feeds power into the batteries, that range is extended to 475-500 miles. A 50-gallon tank supplies fuel to the generator, which can be filled up at any gas station at any time. The article also points out that no solar panels are incorporated into the design to further feed power to the battery packs, although the can be recharged using shore power or an EV charging stations. The rig uses the NACS charging port.

Other specs of interest include the length of the vehicle, which stretches 30′ 9″ end-to-end and is slightly more than 11′ tall. Cooling comes courtesy of dual Coleman Mach 15,000 BTU A/C units, and a Carefree awning extends the living space outdoors. Unlike most Class A models, the Embark comes with pass-through rear storage, which is made possible due to a lack of a diesel engine. Interestingly, RV Business says the bedroom includes an elevated king-bed, which differs from what the video above indicates. A collapsible dinette opens up space in the living area, while a JBL sound system provides audio. Finally, a Dometic furnace and a Suburban tankless water heater round out the features.

    Jayco Embark

We expect the new Jayco Embark will be on display at the upcoming Hershey RV SuperShow in September, and again at the Elkhart Open House Extravaganza a few weeks later. We should have more details soon, including a potential window for the RV’s arrival on dealer lots and an MSRP, which RV Business says is rumored to be around $460,000.

As of now, Jayco doesn’t have any information regarding this new RV on its website, but keep an eye on jayco.com for future updates.

  • Video: RVs You Can Tow with an SUV

Who says you need a pick-up  truck to tow an RV? Sure, larger travel trailers and fifth-wheel models require a truck to safely pull them down the road, but there are plenty of lightweight options available that don’t need a pick-up at all. That’s the subject of the video above, which introduces us to five smaller RVs you can tow with an SUV, effectively eliminating one of the hurdles to owning a camper.

The models featured in the video include the East to West Silver Lake 1600RBLE, the Forest River Ozark 1610RBLE, the Keystone Coleman Light 17RX, the Keystone Springdale Mini 1750RD, and the Forest River Campsite Ultra 19KB. As you would suspect, each of these models is relatively lightweight—the heaviest tips the scales at a GVWR of 7,600 lbs—and are small, measuring under 22′ 4″ in length. That makes them ideal for towing behind an SUV, which usually don’t have as much towing capacity as a pick-up truck.

    Keystone Coleman travel trailers

This rigs may be small in stature, but that doesn’t mean they lack features. All have a queen-size bed or larger and a spacious private bathroom. Most have a versatile dinette for gathering at mealtime, playing games, or working while on the road. Well-equipped kitchens are the norm, as is ample onboard storage, ensuring a comfortable camping experience.

This is just a sampling of RVs that you can tow with an SUV. There are plenty of other models on the market that fit into this category. The important thing is to know the towing capacity of your vehicle and allow for plenty of headroom to accommodate not only the weight of the camper but all of the cargo (including water, food, and other supplies) that you’ll be bringing with you. If the weight of the RV exceeds the towing capacity, not only will it be unsafe to drive, you could do serious damage to your tow vehicle, too. For more information, check out one of our online towing guides.

  • Video: A Buyer’s Guide to Small Toy Haulers

When most people think about toy haulers, they picture a 40’+ fifth-wheel trailer with a large garage designed for carrying ATVs, motorcycles, golf carts, and other motorized vehicles. But the RV industry also offers a number of other options that don’t fit that preconceived notion. In fact, there are a number of small toy haulers that offer the same level of versatility and utility that you’ve come to expect from the category, just wrapped up in a more compact and lightweight form factor.

The video above introduces us to several of these small toy haulers, each of which is a travel trailer rather than a fifth-wheel. This makes them much easier to tow, eliminating the need for a big truck to pull them around. Most of these models are under 30′ in length, but still come with a garage large enough to bring all of your gear. When empty, that garage space turns into another bedroom or extends the living space, making these rigs great options for families or couples who just need some extra room.

The towables that make an appearance in this clip include the Forest River Nightfall 21N, the Forest River Grey Wolf 18RR, the Forest River Salem FSX 210RTK, the East to West Alta 2400KTH, and the Forest River Salem Platinum 269VCX. Each of those models fits the description of a small toy hauler both in size and weight, and each comes with a rear cargo ramp that converts into a patio at the campground. That’s something that most non-toy haulers don’t have, allowing you to further extend youer living space to the outdoors.

If you’re in the market for a toy hauler, but don’t want or need a rig that is massive in size, then hit play on the video. You’ll likely be very surprised at what these travel trailers have to offer, including some creative and innovative floor plans that make the most of the space available.
